Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go. Keep track of your intake. Pace yourself to approach half of your recommended consumption by midday.
Try a goal of drinking half your body weight in ounces.
For example if you weigh 170 lbs.
170 divided by 2 = 85 In this case, you will drink 85 ounces of water each day.
This formula is a great starting point, then see if you can work up to a gallon a day.
Weather and activity will also become a factor in your hydration so you may need to up your intake on hotter days and/or extra activity.
If you know you will be traveling, super hydrate for a few days in advance and then you can get back on track when you reach your destination.
